Raíces of Kern - Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is a diverse group of passionate and dedicated leaders committed to guiding our organization’s vision and mission. Each member brings unique expertise and a deep connection to the communities we serve, ensuring that our work remains impactful, inclusive, and forward-thinking. Importantly, all board members serve as unpaid volunteers, generously donating their time, skills, and energy to support our cause. Together, they provide invaluable strategic oversight, foster partnerships, and champion our goals to empower individuals and create meaningful change. We are proud to have such a talented and engaged volunteer board steering our path toward a stronger, healthier future.

  • Ramon Sanchez is a Social Worker in Bakersfield, California and Creator/Host of Destigmatize Podcast.

    Ramon grew up in rural communities near Bakersfield, obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Bakersfield & Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Southern California.

 

  • Ricardo Oré is a Scientist ΔΖΤ/CSUB/University of Maryland Global Campus Alumnus.

    He currently serves as the Vice-President of Raices of Kern

    Ricardo is determined to use his educational experiences as resource for a new generation of Latino youth who have aspirations of obtaining higher education.
